JEECUP 2017: Registration, Exam Date, Pattern

JEECUP 2017JEECUP is the renowned entrance examination which is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education (UPBTE). JEECUP is commonly known as UPJEE (Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination). This entrance test is conducted for admission to diploma, post diploma & PG diploma courses in the field of engineering, technology and management. JEECUP 2017 Application Form

Candidates can fill the JEECUP 2017 application form through online mode only. The application form will be available from the second week of January 2017. The last date to fill the application form will be the first week of March 2017.

Application Fee

Candidates belonging from general and OBC category need to pay Rs. 300/- against the application form. For SC/ST candidates, the application fee will be Rs. 200/-. Fees can be paid through credit card/debit card/net banking or challan SBI bank.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Students must have passed 10th or its equivalent examination with minimum 35% marks from the recognized educational board.
  • Candidates appearing the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
  • There is no upper and lower age limit for appearing this test.

Important Dates

  • Application Form Availability: Second week of January 2017
  • Last date to submit the application form: First week of March 2017
  • Admit card availability: Second week of April 2017
  • Entrance Exam: First week of May 2017
  • Result Declaration: Last week of May 2017
  • Counselling Date: Second week of June 2017

JEECUP Exam Pattern

Awareness about exam pattern is very important for the preparation of any examination. JEECUP 2017 exam pattern is given below:

  • Courses: It is conducted for diploma courses.
  • Level: JEECUP is the state level entrance test of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Exam Mode: Offline mode i.e., Paper Based Test
  • Number of Questions: There will be total 100 questions asked in the examination.
  • Type of Questions: Objective Type Questions
  • Exam Duration: 3 hours
  • Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be given for each correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark will be deducted for indicating incorrect response.

  • Scheduled Tribe – 2%
  • Other Backward Classes – Non Creamy Layer – 27%
  • Person with Disability – 3%
  • Freedom Fighter – 2%
  • Ward of Military Personnel – 5%
  • Girls (All Categories) – 20%

JEECUP 2017 Admit Card

The council will announces the JEECUP 2017 admit card in the second week of April 2017 through its official website. Students can download their admit cards from this page. Without admit card, no candidate will be permitted to appear the examination.

JEECUP 2017 Result

JEECUP 2017 result will be declared by the council in the last week of May 2017. The result can be checked through the official website of council. After few days of the result declaration, JEECUP rank list will be published.

JEECUP 2017 Counselling

JEECUP 2017 counselling will be organized only for the qualified candidates. It is expected that the counselling process will start from the second week of June 2017. Seat allotment will be based on candidate’s rank in entrance exam and preferences filled by the candidate.
